but that doesn't matter now because I have a new tablet! Damn. Damn... Damn.

So yeah... I finally got my MobileStudio Pro. Since July 4. I love it. So it's its own machine as it's the successor of the Cintiq Companion line. Like the Cintiq Companion 2, it can act as it's own standalone machine or, if you're willing to shell out some extra coin, have it act as a traditional cintiq and hook it up to another machine. For now, I'll use it as its own machine. Honestly, I'm also thinking of getting a desktop too. Part of me wants to go back to using Mac especially the new one. Don't hate. But I also want to buy an extremely powerful custom built PC.

So far the MobileStudio works well. I still have to test out Adobe stuff on it, but like... it was practically made to handle Adobe's bullshit anyway. The only real problem that I have... or had.... is the touch ring. Sometimes it wouldn't respond and occasionally it would be TOO sensitive. I'll.. have to see if disabling superfetch would help with that... eh either way it's not that big a deal to me. It might just be Sai doing that. I'll never switch, I'm a simpleton that love simple stuff. Maybe it's just growing pains.

Another problem that isn't the tablet itself, is the wireless keyboard I bought. Which apparently is a win10 proble with bluetooth. I have to fix that tomorrow lol.

Okay, so this is embarrassing but I can admit this now. Ever since 2011, I've been using the CTL-460, the Bamboo Pen. It's incredibly entry level, not even really intended for artists, but it did it's job. Really well. I have no idea how some people can just... break their tablets. My pen broke years ago, but I replaced it quickly and it lasted me ever since. Yeah it doesn't have a lot of options. Its range of pressure sensitivity is outdated. But I loved it, and have many many great memories with it. After 8 years, it can finally go to rest... or at least just not be used a lot. I can like... still use it as like a second mouse for my laptop... which is also incredibly outdated and UHHH I used up about 90% of its SSD.

While experimenting with the Apple Pencil, I found myself struggling to use it with Medibang because I just wasn't used to drawing on the screen. Yeah, we used them for school, but I never drew on them. I think that kinda prepared me for using the MSPro, but ultimately, I think the combination of being familiar with the program and OS, and having the pen as an actual cursor that hovers is just easier. Fuck I need to get an actual nice looking photo of it, because the lighting in my room sucks shit.
