I just ordered the Mobile Studio Pro

thayoraSo I got my current laptop about uhh... four years ago... and it was used so it's older than that. My drawing tablet is also at least five years old and really small. Needless to say I've been in desperate need of an upgrade for a very very long time. I finally bit the bullet and ordered a standard 16" Mobile Studio which isn't going to arrive for a good while, so that's where my tax return will go towards.
Also it's been literal years since I've actually used a cintiq and drawn on screen, and that was during my internship. I'd like to believe the comfort of home drawing my indulgent shit will make things a lot better. At least I hope the transition of working from a standard drawing tablet to a screen tablet won't be too hard to go through. However, I really do look forward to seeing how it'll handle the Adobe shit that it supposedly runs smoothly, though my main concerns are inDesign and Illustrator... maybe Animate if I wanna get back to using Flash.
Alas, I'm only a slave to Wacom's products because of the fact that they're widely available, and yeah I've heard some good shit about their smaller competitors but I'm also lazy. Now what is terrible is how Wacom can use its status as industry standard to do some ridiculous cutting and overcharging. I'm kinda fucking mad that they don't include a stand- don't use that "it's meant to be like a tablet that you take with you so of course it's optional" bullshit.
Ah well. Maybe getting a new setup will spark something in me to be more active. It always felt that I've outgrown what I current had and that stagnancy makes me unenthusiastic.
