Valentine's Day
I just like that this place is a void because nobody follows me here and I follow nobody really. Here's a comic related to the holiday.
Wow. I think I said this before, but the easiest way to convince people to ship your ship is to just emphasize how cute your ship is. Maybe it's just me- but I think there has to be more to hook people into liking a ship between two conventionally attractive characters. You gotta really show that they work but it's absolutely easiest when it's... cute.
Again, I got back into drawing and starshipping in 2018. I made more comics that barely have any words and were just "cute thing happens", and people like it. I think trying to sell a ship based on horniness turns more people away and makes them uncomfortable.
I think I made my opinions on the shipping discourse that has been more and more discussed these past few years pretty well known. But even I think I chilled down a bit. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I literally have such a narrow range of interests that I fixate heavily on. Even in Voltron, I did claim that klance was my thing but it was more passive than anything that I just made jokes about. And even then, I cared more about the past franchises.
Again, I mellowed out. For the most part I don't really have the energy to care... Even I have my methods of coping with my past trauma, and I often cope through errr.... bad tropes?? Through my ships. But it's all imaginative stuff and drawings in private. But nothing like extreme.... lol
It really is a blessing that I've met people through yuju. Even from people who don't speak English, it's actually really flattering. The comic above posted on twitter got a few people commenting on it, and they were from the international part of twitter, it really is so nice getting feedback from people like that.
